3D model description

Hey!

This is a model of a two-legged dinosaur. It has a flexible tail and an articulated body with articulated limbs!

The model is made of a head, neck, body, tail, a leg system, and an arm system. There are two different arm systems (a full arm or an arm made of an upper and lower piece for elbow articulation), and three different leg systems (a full leg, leg made of a thigh and lower leg, or a leg made of a thigh, calf, and foot).

The thigh is connected to the body with a leg connector. There are two different leg connectors (One with ball joints, and one with a ball joint and a body joint. The body joint is designed to not turn in the body, causing the rotation to be in the leg).

The model also comes with a body compatible with the simple stand, and a solid tail with no articulation.

(The black pieces in the photos are printed with flexible PLA. They don't represent specific pieces)

The model is designed to be printed without supports on the flat side of each piece. I printed this model on a FDM printer, so I don't know the results with resin printers. Please message your results in the comments if you happen to print the model with a resin printer.

I still don't have a Patreon or anything like that set up yet so I'm not allowing the prints to be sold at the moment. Sorry if you were interested.

Please share any photos of your makes so we can see them. If you need to reach me for any questions or comments, you can message in the comments or email me, and I should have a reply for you soon. Otherwise, enjoy the model if you have it, thank you, and have a good day.

3D printing settings

SETTINGS USED FOR THE MODEL IN THE PHOTOS:

Layer height/quality: 0.2
Infill: 30% Lines
Material: PLA
Temp: 215, 65
Speed: 60 mm/s
Supports: none
Print time: A full model using v2 connectors, full legs, and full arms takes approximately 5 hours to print at scale. Every file combined will take 12 hours and 55 minutes to print.

Unlike other models that I have done, the model in the photo is printed at the normal scale.

Some pieces need to be printed twice. They can be mirrored in your slicer, but the design comes with flipped versions for any pieces that need to be printed twice. The calf needs to be printed twice but doesn't need to be flipped, so there isn't an extra version.

Instead of another long and confusing paragraph on possible fixes to problems with scaling, I'm just going to give you the summary. My other designs include the bigger paragraph if you want to read more.

Summary of the scaling:
If you increase size, try decreasing size for pieces that are too big.
If you decrease size, try increasing size for pieces that are too small, sandpaper, or heating pieces that are too small before connecting.
