3D model description

This is a Stratux Case designed to directly mount the RY836 to the top. It is designed for a Raspberry Pi 2. The Power and Activity LEDs are in a different place for the RPi3. Update: I have added versions for the RPi3 but they are untested.

Update#2: I have revised the design based on feedback. First, the case a little taller, to give extra space for a female Dupont connector and cable routing. Also, I extended the hex features for the adapters, to account for variations in the size of the SDRs and adapters. (minor update in v2.1 of top case to fix interference with the corner peg)

I have not printed it, as the case I use has a different internal configuration.

Fan is a 25mm x 7mm fan. 5v.

The screws that hold the case together are #3-48. -- not sure which screws to use to hold the GPS to the top.

The holes for the LEDs should be reamed with a drill bit slightly smaller than 1.75mm, then force fit some tGlase filament in and trim to size. (as long as the ends are cut square and smooth, tGlase make a great fiber optic light pipe)

This was designed for two NooElec NESDR Nano 2's. I removed the IR receivers and installed heat sinks. You have to cut the heat sinks down so that they don't short any components.

If you install heat sinks, you'll have a hard time installing a WiFi dongle. I made a little 4" USB extension with a very slim connector (PCB) to place the wifi dongle in the area in front of the Ethernet port.

The MCX SMA adapters were bought on eBay in December of 2015. I'm sure they make different ones, so it might be hard to source the exact ones I used. The ones I bought were on eBay under the title "SMA Female to MCX Male Adapter Connector; US Stock ; Fast Shipping". There are still ones being sold with that title, so maybe they're the same? Your mileage my vary. I do not endorse the sellers on eBay.

Glare shield mat is intended to be printed in NinjaFlex or some other grippy flexible filament. (NinjaFlex is not super grippy, but it works). I printed this in Simplify3D with zero bottom solid layers and a honeycomb fill to make a nice pattern on the bottom.
