Introduction

This is for the printheads, Apple users and minimalists!

A great present or a conversation starter about 3D printing for someone with an apple watch!

Every time you print a calibration cube you produce a model that is most likely, eventually, going to end up in a trash can.

Why waste? Make it useful!

Print this calibration cube watch stand and use it with your Apple Watch! You can test your print quality and also make some Apple Watch user happy! Even if it's not good it's still usable!

This design is inspired by your typical XYZ 20mm Calibration Cube by iDig3Dprinting (licensed under the Creative Commons - Attribution - Share Alike) and thus is extremely simple, yet extremely convenient with no extra hassle and assembly. Just like Apple products tend to be.

It provides an anchor point to your magnetic fast charger making it easier and quicker to snap your watch on and off.

This design has been tested by me and my friends in the course of the past 2 years and after printing various kinds of magnetic fast charger adapters for my Series 6, I can firmly state that this one is the most convenient of them all – just snap on and off.

Design specifications

40 x 40 x 40 mm

The base easily fits into the niche, the cable niche is done tighter to prevent the base from popping out.

Both models are suitable for left- and right-handed people.


Inside this package

There are two models:
- sharp edges (inspired by the original XYZ 20mm Calibration Cube by iDig3Dprinting)
- rounded edges (the same design with a twist of Apple rounded corners to it)


Printing recommendations

Material: any
Walls: 1.2mm
Wall line count: 3
Infill: 10% or more
Type of infill: any
Supports: it might be a good thing for the bottom of the round edged model if your printer or slicer settings produce inconsistent results.
For the rest: choose the usual settings you get the good results with.

It’s also best if Z side is pointed up in case your slicer puts it on the side.
