3D model description

Designed from the ground up to be 3d printed.

I personally hate when there's a great 3d model online but it's all just one piece so throwing it on the printer is basically impossible. Even then, if it turns out to work for printing, sanding and painting is a pain.

All of these parts are designed to be printed separately and many of them will not require any supports.

Assembly will not require any additional parts or pieces, and alignment is taken care of with several long square pins.

I highly advise sanding and painting all parts and pieces before assembly.

I recommend assembly starting from the stock (back) and working your way forward in sections. There is an exploded views that can be used as general directions to follow. The assembly pins are divided into two lengths, but otherwise are all the same shape and are interchangeable so they should be easy to figure out which goes where.

Total assembled length is 875mm and all parts can be printed on a 300x300mm print bed (just barely). If you have a smaller 220mm bed then you will need to slice and print the stock in two pieces.

I'm sorry, there was nowhere for me to chop it into smaller pieces without having a seam on it.

I will be happy to assist with any questions or make any recommended design changes if anything comes up when you are building your very own model.

3D printing settings

No special settings are needed for this model. All joining faces have 0.125mm gaps included to allow for ease of assembly, but some light sanding may still be required depending on your printers accuracy.
