3D model description

TrainGuy is my third design in this line of action figures that want to emulate and improve on the idea of micro bases that turn into fully transformable robots.

Unlike my other designs, this is not based on an existing 80s toy but instead is a completely original idea. It's still compatible with the other figures, as it sports 5mm pegs and standard road panels that fit with the original ones.

The main gimmick of this action figure is the fact the shoulderpads and elbows make up for a train that sits on a railway piece. I'm planning to release an addon to this figure to print additional railway pieces including turns and crossings for normal roads.

Together with my back-engineered road panels and the adaptor for normal figures, it should allow to build pretty big cities with a train as main transportation system!

Poseability and design has been enhanced further, teh ankles are not as weak as the other figures and the legs are bigger for better stability.

Since this figure is completely original I made it possible to have it both as a Decepticon (as intended by me) or as an Autobot (Autobot logo parts and alternative head provided!) I have provided an image with the suggested color schemes too!

Video tutorial now available on Youtube!

3D printing settings

I was able to print this without problems with standard Cura settings on an Ender 3 S1.

I also use fairly cheap PLA from aliexpress.

No need to print parts in PETG.
