3D model description

The original version of the cricket was based on a slightly modified vehicle frame of the Panzerkampfwagen 38(t) Ausf. H, which was known as Geschützwagen 38 and had a rear engine. The basic structure of the hull was adopted largely unchanged, while the front superstructure was specially adapted for the 15 cm sIG 33 howitzer. This superstructure was only open at the top. Between February and June 1943, a total of 200 vehicles, including a prototype, were produced by the BMM works in Prague. A further ten units followed in November 1943. This variant was given the designation "15-cm-schweres Infanteriegeschütz 33 (Sf.) auf Panzerkampfwagen 38(t) Ausf. H" (Sd.Kfz. 138/1).

About the model:

The STL files include several printing options of the Grille Ausf. K, all of which are based on a scale of 1:100.

3D printing settings

Test models were printed with a layer height of 0.12 mm, but other layer heights can also be tried out.

Filling does not matter, from 5% the model should be stable enough for tabletop use.
