3D model description

I call this the β€œWind-Me-Up.” This is a power adapter holder for phone chargers used in the U.S. The unique feature of this holder is that the adapter is held by the holder and allows the cord to be wound and secured to the holder as well. The holder, power adapter, and cord can then be stored easily while traveling. The power adapter can also be plugged in while still attached to the holder. The pictures tell a better story. Some assembly is required. If printed with the suggested settings the uprights press fit into the base and top plates. You can use super glue to permanently secure. It was designed so it could be printed in a timely manner without the need for support.

You will need to print 1 base, 1 top face plate, one bottom face plate, and 10 uprights. When assembling make sure that the arch in the uprights are facing the outside.

** EXTREMLY IMPORTANT **
The material that you use MUST NOT be in any way electrically conductive. It must be considered an electric isolator. PLA is considered an electrical isolator up to about 70 degrees Celsius (158 degrees Fahrenheit.) If you intend to use this while plugged in to a live circuit, please do so at your own risk. We are not responsible for any damage or injuries that may be caused by printing or using this design. Having said that I have used this plugged in while charging with no issues.

3D printing settings

I printed this on a Creality CR10 V2. It is equipped with the BL Touch as well as a heated bed and glass plate. I used Elmer’s washable school glue stick on the build plate. Make sure the scaling is set to 2540% for each piece. 3MF format should set this automatically.

Print time with below settings: 1 hour 44 minutes
eSun White PLA Plus used – 11g – 3.71m
