3D printing settings
The design is made up of 6 individual sides so that the tracking patterns used by the apps print well. It is optimized for 2-color printing, white base and the last layer in black. The base color can be changed to silver or shiny filament. The only thing that is necessary is that there is sufficient contrast between the background and the pattern.
Once printed they should be glued together using the letters at the base of each face as a guide. It is only necessary to align the faces and put painter's tape to assemble it (see photos), after that we proceed to glue the 4 faces, which are lengthwise first, so that everything is aligned. Once that is dry proceed with the remaining two. The truth is that it was very easy to put it together.
The layer height should be 0.2 mm if possible.
I recommend 4 or more top coats so that no deformations or voids are left on the surface.
Also very useful is the option of combing the top layer in the laminator cure. This will help a lot to make the pattern opaque and without voids, which is the most important thing.
In the pictures I show the option settings on my laminator. There are many youtube videos showing how to set it up in a few minutes.
Lastly if possible paint it with an opaque or matte enamel to avoid light reflections that hinder camera tracking, resulting in the object disappearing.
