3D model description

[English at the Bottom!]

Here you can purchase the print files of my often sold and proven yarn bowl. These files are for personal use only and are not intended for the production of goods for resale.

Thanks to its integrated turntable, the yarn tray is perfect for processing bobbins. The two yarn guides make processing very flexible and enable crocheting or knitting with a start on the inside or outside.

👉The yarn guide through the lid of the bobble bowl allows you to work from the center.

The thread guide on the side enables processing from the outside and then makes optimum use of the turntable.

🥳Of course, the yarn tray is also perfect for other yarns.

You will need about half a roll of PLA

material for the lid and turntable as well as a 607Z ball bearing (Amazon)

🚩Technical data:

Shell material: PLA

Lid & turntable material: Wood

Manufacturing process: FDM 3D printing & laser cutting with engraving

The thread guide through the lid of the bobble bowl enables processing from the center.

The thread guide on the side enables processing from the outside and then makes optimum use of the turntable.

Dimensions: Diameter 20cm - Height 14.5cm

Very important: 3mm plywood is required for the turntable and lid. So it would be good if you have a diode or Co2 laser to cut them out. However, you can also print the parts, I just add the DXF for the lid and turntable as I always liked the wooden element. The lids are also wonderful to make from acrylic glass. Just add an engraving. Perfect. However, the DXF can be extruded and printed in Fusion.

The pictures show lids with motifs, these are not included.

If you have any further questions, please write to me.

🥳 Of course, the yarn bowl is also perfect for other yarns.

In addition to approximately half a roll of PLA, you will need materials for the lid and turntable, as well as a 607Z ball bearing (available on Amazon).

Manufacturing settings

[English Below!]

Normal PLA settings of your printer, but slightly hotter to achieve high stability.

MAXIMUM HOLE DIAMETER! Super important in Cura Activate and set to 30mm / 50%-75% so that the hole for the ball bearing is true to size. These are just my experience values depending on the material.

My settings were for Redline Glitter PLA on the Elegoo Neptune 2 with Brozzl 0.6 Nozzle (recommendation!)

Layer: 0.34

First layer: 0.34

Line width: 0.6

Wall lines: 6

Position Z seam: Rear

Upper layer: 4

Lower layers: 4

Filling density: 15% Gyroid

Temperature: 230°C (Redline Glitter) - everything else maximum 205-215°. Please avoid SILK PLA - it is too unstable.

Printing plate temperature: 60° C

Speed: 40mm/s

Wall speed: 20mm/s

First layer: 20mm/s

Indentation: 4mm

Feed speed: 45mm/s

Combing mode: Not in outer skin

Cooling: 100%

Printing plate adhesion: Skirt 3 lines distance 2.0mm
