3D model description

I wanted a way to reuse my empty filament spools, and that's when I came up with this design.

The design is customizable. I have included OpenSCAD scripts to customize the lamp components for spools with an outer diameter of 190mm–205mm and an inner diameter of 50mm–60mm. You can customize the socket_holder to fit your light bulb socket. One of the photos shows the dimensions of the bulb you will need.

I have included custom spools and top caps. I have included a hexagon, heart, Christmas tree and star version. You can use if you prefer not to use an empty spool.

You will need a 300x300mm print bed to print the hexagons.

Make sure to always have your Customize socket holder.scad and Customize spacer.scad and threads.scad files in the same folder.

I have included pdfs with print instructions, instructions to customize your own top cap and lithophane, and instructions on how to assemble the lamp.
