3D model description

.50 Browning Machine Gun (12.7Γ—99mm NATO, .50 BMG and designated as 50 Browning by the C.I.P.) takes in its name the name of the weapon for which it was designed, the .50 Browning Machine Gun. This cartridge was designed in the early 1910s and put into official use from 1921 onwards, thus being manufactured in series. The ammunition is practically a normal rifle ammunition (7.62 mm) with larger dimensions and a greater quantity of gunpowder. This ammunition is currently manufactured in several versions: Ball (with a rounded tip), Hollow Point (high precision), Tracer (for observation), Armor-Piercing (for armor penetration), incendiary (for flammable targets) and sub-caliber projectiles.

This ammunition today, in addition to the Browning M2, is used to equip several sniper rifles (such as the Barrett M107) and other 12.7 mm caliber machine guns.
