This is version two of a fairly well tested design, with a number of these in service now. The new version added separate fan mounting screws, a better snap-in filter holder, and better weather sealing of the slide on-cover with an overlappping top edge.

This is a cabinet fan grill and filter holder for use in electrical cabinet cooling or enclosure ventilation to mount a standard 120mm fan. This is a three part design with a base, a filter retianer, and a slide on outer cover that can be either solid for best environmental protection or louvered for maximum air flow.

The filter can be easily removed as it clips into place. The fan can be replaced easily from inside the enclosure.

Printed in a UV resistant plastic like ABS, PET-G, or ASA, and installed with a bead of RTV, this can be used for outdoor applications.

Assembly requires four #8-32 heat set threaded inserts for the fan mount and a 4.5in (115mm) square piece of filter material. Mounting the grill to the cabinet uses four #8 flat-head machine screws.

Included is a printable cutting and drilling template.

Use a UV stable plastic such as ABS, ASA, or PET-G for printing. Support (touching build plate) is required for printing the base, none of the other parts need support.
