Warning: Miniatures may cause irritation, rashes, boils and severe nausea...

Abominable pestilential bloodsuckers. Chaos Fleas are mutated rat fleas (carriers of the dreaded Yersinia Pestis bacteria, better known as the Bubonic Plague) grown to gigantic proportions.
The Chaos Fleas are primarily intended to be used in 28mm scale tabletop games, and can be used either as mounts for chaos champions or monsters in their own right. There are 13 Chaos Flea models in the pack in total, and includes both fleas with saddles and without. Read below for a detailed list of model parts, and instructions for assembly.

Assembly Instructions

Each flea is assembled using 1 body model, and 4 leg models. There are 13 different body models, each distinct from one another by differing poses and decorations. There are 8 leg models in total, though only 4 different variants. They amount to a total of 8 because there are 4 legs for the right-hand side of the flea, and 4 legs for the left-hand side. Pay attention to which models you print - you need two models of each side (though if you have some knowledge of how your slicer software works, you can probably just flip the left-hand side models to right and vice versa).

The legs are poseable, so you can create stationary Chaos Fleas, running Chaos Fleas, pouncing Chaos Fleas, crawling or climbing Chaos Fleas et cetera. Note that you may want to touch up the points where the legs are inserted into the sockets, especially for more extreme poses. An alternative method is to simply place the leg .stl models onto the body .stl model in your slicer software, and then print the entire fleas as a one-piece model. They usually print without issues, and makes the printed model more robust as well as allowing you to position the legs at angles that would not be physically possible if you were to assemble printed parts. Just a tip.

The body models wearing saddles can be used with rider models from other tabletop miniature manufacturers. There are currently no riders specifically designed for the Chaos Fleas available from Sharedog Miniatures (though I may design some and sell as separate product at some point down the line).
A suggestion is to purchase and use the mounted knights included in the Ram Knights model pack (link below). They are reasonably compatible with the Chaos Fleas, though you'll probably want to rescale either the fleas or the knights to make them fit together.

Detailed list

The model pack includes the following model parts:

  • 13 flea bodies. 6 with saddles, 7 without.
  • 2 bases. 1 flat, and 1 with a rock obstacle.
  • 8 legs. 4 left legs, and 4 right legs. The legs range from curled up to straightened out. The straightened legs are primarily intended to be used for pouncing or jumping poses - rat fleas are the greatest jumpers on the planet, so their jumping pose is a signature pose. You can easily find images of jumping fleas on the Internet, if you want to accurately recreate their jumping pose. Note **there are **no stems included in this model pack. If you want to create jumping poses you may have to provide miniature stems of your own, or reinforce the fleas around their rear feet area, et cetera.

3D printing settings

High printer settings recommended. No model parts are currently pre-supported. You can contact the designer and request this. I'll upload a pre-supported version of the model pack free of charge.
