3D model description

Update: Unfortunately, I have to admit that I posted the wrong version. However, there is not much difference.

The new one is a smidge thinner at the bottom and better divided areas. It should hopefully provide a little better air flow through.

If you need to increase / decrease the frame, remember that it is not necessary to change the dimension of the bone in the long direction, only in the short direction, if the frame needs to be made narrower.

I keep both versions, X3 is the new version.

Have fun!

Update: I mistakenly wrote screw 3 x 16 mm, it should be 3 x 13 mm or smaller.

Have fun!

This is a wind stop for pipe dimensions 150 x 100 mm.

It consists of a strap, bone, membrane and three screws 3.0 x 13 mm.
On the windward side, a piece of plastic membrane is mounted, which must cover all the openings, see picture.

I made the membrane from laminating pouches.
They come in 80, 100, 125, 175 and 250 micron thickness.
125 micron I guess is best.

Cut out the membrane, size approx. 145 x 95 mm. Now place the membrane over the frame, mark the holes, cut out the holes approx. 3.5 to 4.5 mm, if you don't have a hole punch you can easily screw the screw in through the membrane.

The one in the picture I used a 250 micron, it is probably a little too thick and 80 micron is perhaps too thin, about 125 micron would probably be best.
However, I would like to mention that we have had a good wind a couple of times and both thicknesses seemed to work fine.

Have fun!
