3D model description

The Chien Lung (Hai Lung / Sea Dragon) class submarine is in use by the Taiwanese navy. The class consists of 2 ships.

Hai Hu (SS-794)

The Chien Lung class submarines are built in the Netherlands in 1982-1986 by RDM Holland and are a slightly modified version of the Zwaardvisklasse submarine of the Dutch navy, in service till 1995.

The Chien Lung class submarines are is still in service and plans are made to upgrade the submarine in 2024.

The Diesel electric submarine has 6 torpedo-tubes and is capable of launching torpedo's and harpoon missiles.

Width: 8,4m
Speed: 20 knts submerged, 12knts surfaced.
Test depth 300m+

The 3d model is 133,6 cm long and designed for a 100mm WTC (not included in the files.

-Hull spilt in 2 parts (for mounting WTC)
-Printable 5 blade Propellor (best print in HD resin)
-Sail with movable periscope and snorkel
-Bulkheads foor mounting WTC
-3d printable nav lichts (Clear resin)
-Printable links for rudder and dive-planes

Some experience with building RC subs is preferred.

The model is printable in smaller size/scale but some parts need maybe some tweaking then.

Note:

Building a working submarine model is not easy. Experience with this type of model building is strongly advised. This model is suitable for working, but the necessary parts are not part of this design and file set

Bed 50 gr
Some parts need support (Sail and Tail/rudder part), most are printable without support.
Printbed: 200x200mm

You need araound 3kg filament.
