3D model description

Oh no! The Karkinoids have come from beyond the stars, and now the galaxy has crabs!

The most commonplace of the critters that make up a Karkinoid infestation, roaches scuttle and lurk in dark places- alleyways, sewers, caverns, ventilation ducts etc. They build horrible, stinking nests, abduct members of the public, chew through wires and generally make a planet miserable to inhabit. At first sight of an infestation, troops are sent in to eradicate them, but by that point it's usually too late. Not only do they reproduce at a staggering rate, soon outnumbering the local population, but they often bear disgusting but effective bio-guns, pelting attackers with stinging beetles, flesh-eating maggots and more. The best solution is usually to remove them with extreme prejudice at the first suspicion of one being planetside, preferably via flamethrower. But there's never just one...

This multi-part printable kit comes with over 60 .stl files; all the parts needed to make as many of these squirming, scuttling monsters as you want, in a variety of poses with a choice of weapons! Included in the files are presupported and unsupported models of:

5 heads
4 bodies
5 legs (mirror to print both left and right)
4 middle-limbs (see above)
4 beetle carbines and support arms
4 volley-grubbers and support arms

25mm or 28mm round bases recommended.

(Revised to improve supports)

Note: I made these considerably higher-res than I probably needed to, largely due to inexperience at the time and losing sight of scale. On the plus side I have found you can scale them up quite considerably for kitbashing purposes and they'll still look fine- I printed the legs at 200% scale with zero crustiness. Future releases will be a somewhat less absurdly high resolution!
