3D model description

This clamp works with strings of small addressable RGB lights sometimes called pebble or seed lights. The readme refers to these lights as seed lights. The clamp mounts the lights to a Carabiner clip through an M4 eyebolt. The clamp also mounts to wire rope. Multiple strings of lights can be used to create megatrees for holiday light displays.

The design was created as a way to mount seed lights to megatree toppers. It was also created because the wires on seed lights are thin. While the wires appear strong with a simple pull test, this design reduces the tension on the seed light string. Pull the seed wire taught on the wire rope then rely on the underlying rope to bear the tension and guide the string from tree top to bottom.

Strings can be doubled over for greater light density per string. Strings can alternatively go up 1 rope then down the next. The seed clamp supports both use cases.

The files include parts for a top and bottom clamp.

The top clamp includes 3 layers where both the wire rope and light string may be clamped together. This clamp uses an m10 eyebolt to attach to a Caribiner clip mounted to your megatree topper.

The bottom clamp includes 3 layers

This design relies on additional hardware:
- 2 x M4 nuts per clamp
- 2 x M4 16mm screws per clamp
- 1 M4 eyebolt per top clamp: example
- Wire rope with appropriate length top and bottom termination. Examples include:

- 1/16" wire rope: example
- Thimble: example
- Carabiner clip: example
