3D model description

Tired of your desk being covered in half-open Pelican cases? Headphone stands with no cable management? Audio adapters all over the place? Not being to easily move your listening gear from a drawer to your desk, or from your desk to your lounge chair?

This audiophile modular magnetic organizer is designed to keep your in-ear monitors, headphone cables, accessories and digital audio player organized and easy to move around the house.

The large (10cm x 10cm) boxes include:
- IEM throne
- 2-piece IEM throne
- Large box (lid and no lid variant)
- Round cable organizer (lid and no lid variant)
- Cable organizer with cut-outs for plugs (lid and no lid variant)
- Box with IEM tip posts (w. lid)

The small boxes include:
- Accessories box (w. lid)
- IEM tip organizer (w. lid)

Tray options include:
- 1x2 large box tray (low profile)
- 2x2 large box tray (low profile)
- 1x2 large box with DAP and small box

If you are like me, the idea of putting your IEM's directly on hard plastic is incongruent with your audiophile OCD (and Moondrops will explode on contact). You have two options: (i) printing the throne in 2 parts, with the top in TPU, or (ii) using the included 3d printed molds and making a wet-formed leather couch out of 3oz veg tan (instructions below).

The boxes and tray use 8x3mm round magnets. The lids use 5x1mm round magnets. The cable management box clicks onto headphone stands like the Kanto H1W and other steel stands.

Pictured are the 1x2 Tray with DAP and small box, small box with lid, IEM throne, cable organizer with cut-outs and lid.

Please let me know if you have any issues with the files.

How to make the leather upholstery for IEM throne:
- Print the mold with a good amount of infill
- Soak 3oz veg tan leather in water for 20 min
- Press leather into the mold with fingers
- Clamp the two pieces together for 24hrs
- Open the mold and let air dry for another 24hrs
- Use the mold as a guide to trim off excess leather

If you have never done it before, 3d printing molds for leather forming is an awesome combination of two hobbies.

The large boxes have holes for magnets at the bottom, so need support. I was able to print off the boxes without any internal support on an Ender 3v2.

Infill is really up to you, depending on how heavy you want your tray. I used 25% gyroid infill for most of the parts. I would recommend a bit more infill on the molds (they will likely not survive clamping).

The trays will take up almost the entirety of an Ender-sized build plate. Slice without a skirt or brim. Printing large flat plates can be tricky if you don't have your bed levelled perfectly.

When gluing the magnets in, please make sure the polarity is correct and consistent.
