3D model description

A custom 2-piece change organizer for US coins that fits into a cars cup holder. It fits the cupholder of my 2017 GMC Terrain SLT perfectly, though doing a quick google search reveals that it will fit 24 different models of cars from both GMC and Chevrolet ranging from years 2015 to 2020 (the OEM part number is GM (22946576) if you want to check).

This particular creation is actually the first custom part that I designed in Inventor and 3D printed for myself.

The top will fit United States Pennies, Nickels, Dimes, Quarters, and Dollar coins with embossments for easy indication of every 5 coins, with an additional slot in the middle that will fit up to 3 debit or credit cards for easy access when going through drive-thru restaurant chains. It also has a small loop at the top to attach a key chain ring with if so desired.

The build itself is in 2 parts and allows for some extra storage space underneath the top and bottom pieces if needed, as well as the ability to spin for maximum accessibility to the coins.

!The fitting of the coins should feel slightly tight at first, and this is as intended as the wear and tear of daily use will eventually make it a perfect fit!

Be sure to DM me if you want me to edit the original CAD files to fit your particular model of vehicle NOT covered by this build and/or to use with International coins, preferably with accurate dimensions of your cup holder/coins you wish to use (if applicable).

3D printing settings

Both parts will require AT LEAST 2 shells, but I recommend 3 and this is what I printed the original with.

I'd also recommend printing with at least 30%+ hexagonal infill.

Temperature will vary on both filament used and manufacturer's recommendations.
