3D model description

First things first: i didn't have a yellow filament. But I wanted to start printing the block immediately^_^.

This is a 10x10x10cm Super Mario Question Block - Money Box with optional Soundmodul. Maybe as a gift for Mario fans or your kids ;)

Optional Soundmodul like these (AFFILIATED):

You need a Greeting cards sound module and a Omron Switch. I have chosen the solution with the Omron Switch because there was too much pressure needed for the original switch. Every time you flip a coin, the coin sound from Super Mario will play (or wich sound you like). This solution works with banknotes also.

I also tried a solution with a ballpoint pen spring but it wasn't very reliable.

You need 4x M4 Socket Head screw (length is not that important 12-20mm) to screw the Bottom and Top together and 3x M4 Screws (MAX 12mm long or use washers) for the Soundmodul.

I would be happy about suggestions for improvement
And have a nice print! ;)

3D printing settings

  • layer height 0,2mm
  • speed 60mm/s
  • support (sets 75 degrees -> (only for the really necessary parts)
  • Print alignment should already match
  • Print the Question_Top + Bottom 4 times!
  • The flap is always the same. One is printed upright, the other horizontally. Pick one.
  • Finally, some soldering and gluing is necessary
