3D model description

A way to improve the resolution of the 3Drag / K8200 printer is by changing the extruder. One cost-effective alternative is to use an MK8 extruder with a 0.4/0.3 mm nozzle.

Currently, there are different ways to attach the extruder to the printer, here I propose a different approach where a single 3D printed clamp is required.

Since I'm interested in recycling as many parts as I can from the original printer (see for example https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1729453), the clamp is fixed to the metal plaque that supports the original extruder by using two screws.

The support has proven to be robust and simple. I have printed a first model in PLA that required sanding in order to fit the stepper motor inside.

Materials

2 x M3 screws (recycled)
1 x M4 screw + bolt
