3D model description

UPDATED 4/30/2021: I've added ten new versions of this tray in various sizes. The new STLs go from a 1x1 tray all the way up to a 10x10. This way if people want to mix, match, stack, make pyramids of cube trays, make art, etc. there's options. I recommend picking and choosing from the NxN STL files below. I'm leaving the old 5x5 trays for whoever wants them though.

  • The new design has 21mm x 21mm x 5mm wells (top and bottom)
  • The new design wall thickness between wells is 3mm in the X,Y, and Z axes.
  • The old design was 20mm x 20mm x 5mm on top, 20mm x 20mm x 2mm on the bottom, and the entire tray was resized by 2 percent on the X and Y axes to allow for cube tolerance.

As far as a description for this thing - Like (maybe) most of you, I tend to print calibration cubes when I get new rolls of filament or when I'm testing out other ideas like multi-color prints. I don't like to throw them away, and didn't like any of the other cube storage options I've found so far. Enter this stackable cube tray to store/display my cube collection.

You will not need to scale this up by 1 or 2 percent as I've already accounted for cube tolerance in these models.

Recommendations:
- Print in the current orientation.
- If you get lifting, consider adding a brim or a raft
- I recommend using supports to minimize stringing on the underside, but you do you.

Printer: Creality CR6SE
Filament: Overture Red PLA
Nozzle: 0.4
Temps: 200/60
Layer Height: 0.2
