3D model description

These 3D printable cases are designed to add protection for DJI Mavic 3 Propellers when travelling or in storage. The slimline design keeps the props easily accessible.

To stow in the case; the propellers are folded (with third pin on the same side as blades), placed in the correct mount and then rotated down and held in place by the bump clip.
To remove from the case; push gently through the opening at the back and push up, rotate the propeller vertically and then the propeller can come away from the case.
IMPORTANT: There is a distinct model for each prop orientation - Counter-Clockwise and Clockwise. Note the 'circle' indicator on the Counter-Clockwise model.

Compatibility

This has been tested with the Mavic 3 Low-Noise Propeller (M3LNPR). It should work with propellers from these Mavic 3 Series models.
* Mavic 3 Pro
* Mavic 3 Pro Cine
* Mavic 3 Classic

Features

  • Unique minimalist design
  • Easy storage and release system

If anyone finds any problems (dimensionally or otherwise) post them up so I can get the fix model.

Instructions

  • All parts should orientate correctly on slicer plate
  • After printing, check it operates correctly
  • IMPORTANT Correctly match case to propeller as there are different mounts depending if it's Clockwise (CW) or Counter Clockwise (CCW)
  • The indicator for CCW Mount is a raised circle and CW mount is without this.
  • This was printed in PLA but PETG will be fine. I have had modest success printing in TPG also, but find the hard plastics better overall.
  • After printing, check the surface of the case is smooth for the propeller to slide against.

EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN

This model has been designed for a specific usecase, it has not yet undergone extensive testing. Constructive feedback is appreciated.
