3D model description

This design allows you to swap out all types of stocks using a picatinny rail. Using 2 buttons on either side, allows you to quickly remove your stock and replace it with something else. Or simply remove it for storge or other possible scenarios.

In the moment of writing this, I only have 2 styles made. I plan to make more. I also plan to make a mount that allows for a foldable stock.

Disclaimer: Though the product has never failed me, there are still improvements that can be made. You can pull the stock out if you try hard enough without pushing in the buttons.

6/28/23 Added 2 more stocks and a base that now hinges.

08/12/23 Added 2 more stocks that are fixed. (no buttons. One swivel one fixed)

08/16/16 Added modified tri_stock

File Names:
B = Button Style
FH = Fixed Hinge
FF = Fixed Fixed

3D printing settings

These stocks and buttons are designed to use NO supports. However, the mounting plate does. Print at .2 resolution with whatever infill pattern and density you want. I used cubic at 30% and that is plenty strong. I also printed the mount at 100% infill. I print all parts with 5 walls using alternate walls. Basically every odd layer is 5 walls and every even layer is 6. I used esuns PLA+ for these prints. You will also need to print 2 buttons per stock.

Hardware required:
-2x to 4x M3 20mm socket cap screws
-2x 3/8" x 3/4" springs
-2x M5 35mm socket cap screws with nuts (for mount plate)

The springs could be anything as long as they are the same size or smaller OD than the ones listed above.

You only need 2 screws to hold the buttons in place. When making the stocks I believed 4 would be better and never changed it. I still use all 4.
