Dropping from orbit like avenging angels to spike and slash their way across the planetary surface, the ROC-C (Rebellious Orbital Colony Cavalier) is a giant rocket-propelled armored mech capable of both pinpoint strikes and vast carnage.

Devised by the engineers of the breakaway orbital colonies in the Caligula system, the ROC-C is often painted by its ace pilots in wild, dazzling patterns, in keeping with the hedonistic and carefree nature of the colonies. New recruits soldier on with the common two-tone standard green pattern, at least until they live long enough to earn a re-skin after their first five enemy kills.

The Caligula colonies are locked in a struggle for independence from the Terran Co-Dominion, an international government that seeks to tax and control their rich tourism, manufacturing, and asteroid mining resources. The ROC-C is a highly effective weapon in the bid to keep the Caligula colonies free, able to fire devastating pulses down the length of its long power lance like a plasma cannon, or cut through enemy armor with the energized blade. Supplementary weaponry can be mounted on the forearm that bears a thick, durable shield, opposite of the lance.

Extra tanks of reaction mass for the ROC-C's many thrusters can be bolted on the sides and rear of the torso, the top of the carapace, and even the tops of the upper legs.

The ROC-C's dazzling success in keeping the numerically-superior Terran forces in check has drawn interstellar, even interdimensional notice. Licensing the design throughout the Gateworld networks helps fund the war effort, and the resultant revenue helps the wild, nearly-lawless low-grav society stave off the advances of the harsh, grim authoritarians from the mother planet.
