3D model description

This binding scraper uses a trimming knife blade which is contained in a movable slide. Adjustment is via a thumb wheel. Its accurately adjustable and works really well, I like it more than a traditional scraper. Suitable for Faux bindings and normal bindings.

In case you don't want to buy a thumb nut i have included a printable one (that fits over an M4 nut), this is best printed with a fine nozzle. it can be glued together but works with the halves retained by the part. This printable nut can slightly reduce the stroke available and make it slightly harder to replace the blade - but its still possible.

The body part has a mm scale on it this is best printed with a 0.4 or smaller nozzle.

Sundries Required
Uses about 60g filament, takes 2hrs to print
Approx. Β£4 sundry cost if you have to buy everything in tiny qty. Much cheaper if you have the threaded rod or buy in larger qty.

3D printing settings

Printing in PLA or PETG is fine, I have found slight under extrude (97%) to work nicely. I’ve included a step file of the blade carrier so it can be adjusted to fit different thumbwheels.
