3D model description

Hi all, no progress unfortunately, kind of lost the love for 3D printing when I got my CNC, am starting to use it more again now though so maybe one day I'll complete this conversion, but most likely i'd got for a metal frame build...

I shall leave this up for the concept though...

Just a teaser, no print files at the moment but once finished and tested there will be, follow for progress...

This is an X Axis Leadscrew and E3D V6 conversion for the popular Anet A8 3D Printer...

The plan is to run a bearing supported leadscrew with the X axis motor end mounted on the Left.

The main carriage is much smaller and should be lighter than the original, the plan is 2 print it in 3 parts, 2 of which will be sandwiched together to make the front and back profiles and then the cap to hold the extruder, the left and right carriages will be printed as single pieces there is only 15mm added to the width of the left carriage including the stepper motor.

Things to do:
Left carriage holes.
Right carriage dimension check.
Order hardware (Bearings, longer M3 screws, M3 nuts) already have an E3D, anti-backlash nuts, 8mm leadscrew, 8mm linear bearings)
Design fan ducting.
Add mounting options for a bed levelling sensor.
Add mount position for X Axis End Stop Switch.
