3D model description

As a child I used to go to fairgrounds all the time. I have a lot of happy memories of it.
The colors, the music, happy people all around.

This model has been inspired by those happy times and by the classic fairground Carousel (Merry go round).

This is my first mechanical model that also functions as a lamp.
It has an internal mechanism, designed to rotate and at the same time to make the horses go up & down (just like the real thing).

If you would like to use it as well as a lamp, you can easily use LED strip lights that are available everywhere and they are very cheap to buy. A part is included to allow you to wrap around the LED strip with no problems.
The model also includes a part to fit with a USB ToolMoon light bulb if you prefer.

This model makes clever use of the color change feature in your slicer. This can be done very easily by using a classic single extruder 3d printer.
But if you own a Bambu Lab printer or any other printer with multicolor capability, this model will allow you to take it a step farther and print some details in a different color.
FULL DETAILED pdf DOCUMENT INCLUDED

As always, all the parts are printable without any support material and no need for painting.
Full assembly instructions included.
It prints and goes together very easily.

Model size fully assembled:
Diameter 209.2mm (8.2in) x 309.0mm (12.2in)

If your build plate is not smaller that 210 x 210 x 151 you can print all the parts as they are :))
If you would like to print it on a smaller printer you could scale it down to around 12% (some of the clearances may be quite tight and some details may come out a little small).
IMPORTANT: if you do that the color changing parts layers heights will be effected and you will need to double check the correct layers when changing the colors in your slicer).

After printing, all you need is a bit of glue.
I have used NANO GLOOP for PLA and it worked beautifully well with no mess or fingers glued together.

If you click on this link below and use the code ''FULV'' you will automatedly get a 10% discount on your order.
I would recommend purchasing a couple of the NANO bottles which will be plenty for this model.
