Honey Bee Hive Cute Hanging Spring Time Outdoor Garden Decor

This adorable honey bee hive will spruce up any garden decor! Print one half to hang it on a flat surface, or print both halves to make a whole 3D bee hive. Bees are provided in a separate STL file, so you can print as many as you like.

Making Your Bee Hive
There are 3 STL Files included. They are:

• Bee Hive - Hive Half Left
• Bee Hive - Hive Half Right
• Bee Hive - Bee

You can make a half-hive to hang against any flat surface, or a whole hive to hang from the top (see How To Hang It below). For a half hive, print out either half - left or right. For a whole hive, print both and glue them together. I suggest painting it before gluing it for ease.

We chose to print the hives in dark brown, then paint them with a mustard yellow. Only paint the rims leaving the inside hollows brown for a more realistic effect.
For the bees, we printed them in black and then painted one thick yellow line on the belly. We used a light greyish blue for the wings, then when dry, added a few thin stripes of white. They came out great!

We also added a shiny clear gloss coat, which will help protect them in the outdoor weather and give them a beautiful shine. Once all that dries, glue the bees onto the hive and you're ready to hang it.

How To Hang It
Each 'Half' has a beveled nail hole in the back for easy hanging. If you choose to print both halves (to make a whole hive), tie something small to the end of a string (such as a bead or small keyring) and place it in the nail hole before gluing the halves together. Leave the string hanging out at top of the hive. This will give you a convenient string to hang it from!
