3D model description

Former Belvedere on the Lousberg in Aachen. The first excursion restaurant on the Lousberg in Aachen burned down in 1836 and was rebuilt in 1838 in the form shown according to plans by Ark and Leydel. It was a popular restaurant and excursion pub until World War 2 and was completely destroyed during a bombing raid in 1944. Today, the rebuilt columns of the two balconies as the so-called "Aachen Acropolis" remind us of the former excursion pub.
The model was reconstructed on the basis of old plans and photographs and is designed for the scale H0 (1:87).

Ehemaliges Belvedere auf dem Lousberg in Aachen. Das erste Ausflugslokal auf dem Lousberg in Aachen brannte 1836 ab und wurde 1838 in der gezeigten Form nach Plänen von Ark und Leydel wieder neu erbaut. Bis zum 2. Weltkrieg war es ein beliebtes Restaurant und Ausflugslokal und wurde während eines Bombenangriffe 1944 vollständig zerstört. Heute erinnern die wiedererrichteten Säulen der beiden Balkone als sogenannte „Aachener Akropolis“ an das ehemalige Ausflugslokal.
Das Modell wurde anhand alter Pläne und Fotografien rekonstruiert und ist für den Maßstab H0 (1:87) konzipiert.
