3D model description

Hello,

here is a very useful little item if you own a wood lathe.

This is a washer that you wedge between the motor output (spindle nose) and the chuck, this prevents the chuck from sticking "metal against metal" as we often see. So you have to either block the axis or use a tool to unscrew the chuck...

Well, this is not the case anymore, it can be unscrewed without effort.

I didn't suggest it because I thought everyone had already printed it!

A priori a friend told me "you should still propose it because not everyone has or knows a guy with a printer at disposal. Especially since some turners make themselves a wooden washer but the thickness is a bit problematic when you have a chuck with a locking screw for reverse rotation, therefore you risk marking the thread of the spindle nose with this screw.

This is the reason why I put 2 files at your disposal.

  • A washer for a 1" diameter (1X8TPI)

  • A washer for a M33 diameter

These are the most commonly used motor output shaft diameters.

As for the thickness, it is 1.4mm.

It's up to you!
