ONLY USE THE ZIP FILE LABELED: "WESTAR M5 4.0" TO PRINT!!!!
The rest of the files are just for show.
Update 4.0: As requested I have made a version of the 40MM that fits on a 220MM bed. When Printing this file print everything inside the file labeled:
40MM Short M5 Front
This includes the shortened top rail for the 220MM bed.
This is a design I have been narrowing down and working on for the better part of a month or two. It fits over an M4 Airsoft Replica without the handguard and outer barrel. It also replaces the stock but utilizes the buffer tube. It has a built in 40mm launcher, and an option for integrated noise reducer or a tracer (ACETECH LIGHTER BT USED FOR DIMENSIONS).
The top rail mounts on top of the upper receiver and attaches via M5 screws with hex washers. The front end (handguard and barrel) fits together with M5 screws with hex washers. The M4 adaptor goes around the buffer tube before being screwed onto the receiver like normal and is held together with M5 screws with hex washers. An additional M5 screw will be needed to attach the adjustment button on the stock, as the stock does collapse but not fully.
You will need a 300mm inner barrel for this setup. Smaller will work but not recommended. Additionally grub screws need to be added to pressure fit the main body to your receiver, I leave this up to your discretion as not all M4s are the same.
There are also three slots for M2 all thread rods for stability. They are in the back of the Top Rail and the Mid-section of the front.
There is also a short mag to hide within the body of the gun for full immersive play. I have yet to print that though, but it will need m3 screws and a bb spring for an m4 mag, just reduced.

UPDATE: The original 40MM Tube is just shy of 250MM, which might cause issues for some printers. I have shortened it by roughly 10MM, and integrated it into the front more, in a separate file. This will change the Front Halves, and the Tube, if you chose to print the shorter version.
UPDATE 2.0: I realize not everyone’s bread and butter is a 40MM tube, so I have created a variant hence forth called M5 Standard. This bad boy prints in 3 large parts (front end is the only thing that has changed). Unfortunately for stability reasons, the two versions are not compatible (40MM/Short 40MM front end and M5 Standard front end). There are 4 “pins” that need to be printed for the back to mid, and there are two socket screws for the front to mid (standard M5x40MM socket head screws). When inserting the stability rods, I recommend gluing them into both the back and mid when putting them together. The front is detachable so that you can remove the tracer to charge (ACETECH LIGHTER BT USED FOR DIMENSIONS), or swap over to the Silent Night.
Update 3.0: Added a Bifrost tracer option for the 40MM Version. If you have any specific tracer needs, reach out to me with dimensions and which version you plan to print!
