3D model description

Comfortable and decorative organizers for Skymines board game.

The set part 3 contains: Coin organizer, Research plan organizer, Player's component organizer, Card tray, Luna organizer, Bonus tile organizer and Company track container.
2 Outpost trays, 2 Outpost tray organizers and Outpost reserve organizer are available at part 1 and part 2. You can also download the full set.

All organizers fit the game box and provide quick game setup. However it's not an insert. Sliding lids prevent components from falling out during the storage. Rounded bottoms facilitate item draw. Sloped bottoms and indentations facilitate card draw. Theme reliefs and cutouts decorate containers.

  1. COIN ORGANIZER: Very comfortable coin organizer. C1 and C5 are kept in separate sections. Rounded bottom facilitate token draw. Theme reliefs highlight the game atmosphere. The Screw secures the lid during the storage and functions as a handle during the play.
  2. RESEARCH PLAN ORGANIZER: A compact organizer for all Research plans: starting, A, B, C and special tokens. There are 3 rows for A, B and C tokens. They correspond nicely with the game board. Sloped front and back walls + indentations facilitate the draw. You can pick tokens randomly during the play (instead of shuffling and preparing piles that usually fall apart...).
  3. PLAYER'S COMPONENT ORGANIZER: Player's markers are kept in the middle section. The rounded bottom facilitate taking item out. Above, there are shelves for: Player's starting action cards and ON/OFF markers. Indentations facilitate taking them out. Sliding lid covers the container and prevent components from falling out during the storage. There is a different lid for each player. Reliefs indicate which set is inside: Circle, Square, Star or Triangle.
  4. CARD TRAY: It's a tray for Action cards. Sloped bottom and indentation facilitate the draw. Next to the tray there is a section for discarded cards. Single-energy starting cards can also be kept here during the storage. It is designed for cards without sleeves.
  5. LUNA ORGANIZER: 4 different types of cards are kept here: Luna, Mission, Threat and Track. They are separated by Dividers. Print 3 Dividers to separate 4 decks. In the back walls there are 4 pockets for Luna tokens. Again, sloped bottom and indentation facilitate the draw. It is designed for cards without sleeves.
  6. BONUS TILE ORGANIZER: All bonus tiles are accommodated here. Just slide out the lid and the tiles are prepared for the game. The organizer can be placed by the game board. Indentations facilitate taking tile out.
  7. COMPANY TRACK CONTAINER: Just a container for 5 Company tracks. Indentation facilitates taking them out before the play. Theme cutouts decorate the sliding lid.

3D printing settings

All organizers were 3Dprinted on Prusa MK3:
- in PLA (F3D Blue pearl),
- No support is needed,
- Infill 10% rectilinear.
Note1: I use slightly changed default Print settings "0.15mm SPEED MK3" in PrusaSlicer.
Note2: Monotonic top fill increases quality of lids.
Note3: Place the screw up side down before slicing to avoid supports.
Note4: The biggest is Outpost.Container. Its dimensions are: 171 x 190 mm.
Note5: I like using Blue pearl filament for "space" board games, it really suits them. Still it's hard to take good photos of blue pearl organizers... (anyway with my simple smartphone camera).
Note6: Sliding lids and guides for them in containers are adjusted for 0.15 mm layer height.

Printing Time (for one organizer of each kind):
1. Coin organizer:
8h55' - container
2h23' - lid
29' - screw
2. Research plan organizer:
5h18' - container

3. Player's component organizer:
