3D model description

Part cooling fan and mount / hotend fan duct for the Creality hotend (eg Ender 3)
:
- maximise the visibility of the nozzle
- improve part cooling
- maximise hotend cooling
- maximum stability

Multiple options available:
- Mount with or without cable-tidy
- 4010 fang (stock blower)
- 4010 fang more clearance version - to allow mounting with direct drive mods
- 5015 fang (5015 blower)
- 5015 fang more clearance version - to allow mounting with direct drive mods

(I've used my own https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3622476 as reference so please double-check clearance before printing if you're using something significantly different.)

Print upright using tree supports for best results.
If using a slicer that can't do tree supports you may need to lay the duct flat instead.

Parts needed :

  • two m3 nuts - these slide into the square capture holes on either side of the mount
  • two m3 x 12 or m3 x 16 bolts to hold the duct to the mount - these screw into the captured nuts.
  • four m3 x 16 bolts to hold the hotend fan to the front of the mount.
  • stock fans (4010 fan and blower) or 4010 fan and 5015 part cooling fan
  • one OR two m3 x 5 bolt to attach the mount to the plate
  • two m2 bolts to hold the part cooling fan onto the duct (stock 4010 part cooling fan) or a short length of ptfe to hold the 5015 blower onto the duct,

Please post your makes, and comment if you have any suggestions - constructive feedback would be appreciated :)
