Bravestarr Molly Strato-Coach Driver Custom Figure

Filmation's space-western cartoon series gave us some of the best designed action figures of the late '80s but Mattel's toy line was even more short lived than the TV show.

One of the more obscure characters of the cartoon never made it to the toy shelves but I really wanted her in my collection and for my diorama - the Strato-Coach driver Molly. So I decided to design what I imagine a toy version of the classic character might have looked like and build her according to the size of the other toys of the line.

The figure is designed to sit comfortably on the Strato-Coach with most of the arm and leg joints of the Mattel figures recreated to the best of my abilities (the hand joints proved to be difficult, so they can't be moved - also the head doesn't rotate because of the pony tail). I also added a swivel joint at the knees while extending the hollow part of her hips so Molly can fit on the Strato-Coach.

This custom figure comes with a removable hat and her laser whip handle - you can fasten a piece of string or anything else to the tip.
