3D model description

This is a project so be prepared to spend time on it.

Using transparent or translucent UV resin, these crystals are bright lights when you install their 9 LEDs.

Included:
1. Lava Crystal ( referred to as webbed) along with a supported version and its battery holding base.
2. Circuit crystal along with a supported version and its battery holding base.
3. Instructions in both MS Word and .txt format.
4. Diagrams of circuits in 9v, 12v with JTS connectors, and 12v w/out JTS connectors.

Required:
1. 12v 8 AA (recommended for longevity) or 9v battery adapters
2. Three 150ohm resistors (if you intend on using the 12v battery adapter)
3. Transparent or Translucent Resin
4. 9 micro LEDs (3mm may not fit)
5. Masking fluid (Preferably liquid latex masking which has recommended brand in the MS Word instructions. Hobby masking fluid or PVA/Elmer's glue can be used as substitute if allergic to Latex)
6. Syringe with needle for masking application
7. Aerosol Primer in color of main paint, paint (preferably hand paint), and clear aerosol paint for a clear coat.
8. Very thin tipped paint brush, flat sponge brush (if intending to make the circuit crystal), toothpicks, small pointed cotton tips, and a set of sharp thin needle nose tweezers.
9. Solder, soldering iron, spare wire, heatshrink tubing, lighter or heatgun.
10. Flashlight for ensuring opacity of paint
11. JTS connectors (optional)

3D printing settings

Resin only for the Crystal itself.

For all other parts, you have 2 options:
1. FDM on .4mm nozzle with internal supports in the battery holding box and the dome, and regular external supports for all other parts.
2. Resin, preferably not transparent or translucent. The walls are a bit thick and if you are having trouble then you may be able to get away with hollowing it out with the hollow tool and adding holes to the some of the more thicker parts.

Every printer and transparent resin is different. If you have not printed with clear resin before then I recommend do a test print with factory recommended settings for the particular resin. If you have trouble then increase cure time a little and slow down the z-axis movement.

Crystals should take no longer than 5.5 hours to print each. The bases can take longer depending on your print method.
