3D model description

Here is a connector for swimming pool broom with a swivel connection allowing, by screwing, a secure holding of the hose in the broom socket.

The nut is standard G1"1/2 (i.e. a thread diameter of 47.8mm).

The blue corrugated hose is also standard with a diameter of about 46.6mm and a left-hand pitch.

The swivel fitting is in two parts (the fitting itself in G1"1/2 and the swivel collar). Two parts to be screwed into each other to avoid a print with support.

The nut for the blue pipe is in two parts to be able to place it on the rotation collar. The sleeve then holds the assembly together without gluing.

A little sanding (1000 grit) is necessary at the rotating parts to facilitate the movement. Do a test before sliding the sleeve which will be difficult to remove.

It may be necessary to lightly sand the turret thread, but the screwing should force a little to avoid sticking of this thread.

The blue pipe is held in its thread by gluing with McNett's Aquasure. It is also possible to hold it with just a small stainless steel screw across it. The idea is to prevent its rotation and therefore its unscrewing.

The f3d file is provided to resume at your convenience the model under Fusion 360.
