Ancient Bronze Age Sword for Print and Sand Casting 3D print model

This is a bronze age style sword (Greek, Etruscan, Illyrian, Macedonian, Egyptian, Mesopotamian, Roman, etc) made specifically for 3D print to use as a mold for sand casting. I included .max files for versions 2014 through 2017, as well as an .FBX file and .OBJ file, .STL files for the full sword as well as split versions for smaller 3D printers.

Bronze Full Sword.stl = The full untouched sword. Sword split top = Top half of sword split. Sword split bottom = Bottom half of sword split. Sword half split top = Top half of sword split also in half. Sword half split bottom = Bottom half of sword split also in half.

The half split versions are designed specifically for sand metal casting. Instructions for sand metal casting:

WARNING: Please consult a professional before attempting to sand cast metal.

• Print the full sword (if printer is large enough) or the split versions of the full sword and epoxy the top and bottoms together.
• Print the half versions of the sword, epoxy the top and bottom parts together.
• Place the half split version into your first initial casting box piece with the flat smooth side facing towards the ground, pour sand on top.
• Flip the box over. Carefully remove half split sword.
• Place second casting box piece on top. Place the full sword halfway into where you removed the half sword, pour sand.
• Flip the second box. Carefully remove full sword from sand mold.
• The rest is on you. Add air vents, whatever else needed on the sand before pouring the metal. Very easy way to cast. Additionally, you may cast the sword without printing the half split pieces, but it's much more difficult.
