3D model description

NOTE: The purchase button above is to purchase the 3D files to print your own card holder, not a physical item.

It's hard to give away trading cards in Star Wars Stormtrooper armor. It has no pockets or pouches for holding things, unlike biker scouts, officers, and some other costumes. I wanted something to hold trading cards that I could dispense during troop - kids love the trading cards.

I wasn't satisfied with other designs I saw online. Either the top was wide open and cards could easily fall out, or it was a simple square box where pulling the cards near the bottom, especially with gloves on, would be a nightmare. So decided to make my own.

Features:
* Dispenser with a slide to allow cards to easily be pulled out, one at a time - even with gloves on!
* Slot that allows one card to be pulled out at a time, but keeps the rest of the cards in the box.
* Lid slides off to allow easy refilling of dispenser box, with small tabs at the top to keep it from coming off during troops.
* Belt clip suitable for 3" belts (stormtroopers, officers, pilots, deck crew, etc.).

The files has 4 main parts: the body (dispenser), a lid, a veneer, and a belt clip.

Choose one of the lids to print (If you need a new design, message me and I'll add it!). Then print all the parts.

The veneer goes inside the body to help the cards slide out. It keeps cards from getting snagged on any print lines when you pull them out. The smoothest side should face up. Glue the bottom of the veneer to the inside bottom of the body, and glue the rest of onto the inside bottom and up the card ramp. If there's any extra veneer after gluing, carefully trim and sand for a smooth finish to make card sliding easier.

Glue the clip onto the back; the indent helps with alignment. I recommend CA glue, epoxy, or E-6000.

Then, insert trading cards and slide the lid over the dispenser box from the bottom.

Enjoy!

Purchase of the files is for individual use only and not for resale, thank you for understanding!

3D printing settings

I print mine using PLA or PETG, 4 walls, 20% infill. No supports are needed when using the default part orientation. There are no overhangs greater than 45 degrees.

All parts should be printed at 100% to hold standard 65mm x 90mm trading cards (holds about 50 cards).
