3D model description

After seeing and printing many mobile supports, I decided to design one easy to print, robust, with tilt adjustment, universal to fit all mobiles. My surprise was when I realized that it could be modular by connecting more pieces, if needed, to support larger screens (with 2 supports a 22" monitor).

Support with 3 tilt positions, for mobile, tablet and screen screens.

You only need to print the 2 pieces and a pencil, and you have your mobile support (horizontal and vertical), with 3 positions with different inclinations. Use the one that allows you to see the screen better, at any time, depending on proximity, height of the surface where the support is placed and the existing reflections on the screen, by the lighting of the room.

The different distance from the center, to each of the points where the pencil is passed (40, 50 and 60mm), allows to obtain different inclinations, which are the most frequently used. One side acts as a base, the second side supports the screen and the third side offers sufficient stability for each of the inclinations.

The initial design allows to achieve 3 different inclinations, depending on the size and distance of the screen to be put. But it wastes a lot of material and is not modular.

In the second model, you can also regulate the width of the support pieces according to the size of the screen to be supported and you can add 1, 2 or 3 pencils, of the right length, to enjoy the support to the measure. I use the famous IKEA LAPICES, which have the precise width to support a cell phone, perfectly. With only 1 pencil it works perfectly, the pencils fit making a little force and is very subject to the printed parts, forming a robust set, capable of supporting monitors and televisions.

You can also connect 3 or more pieces with the pencils placed in different holes (so that the pencils do not coincide), if you need a more stable support for a large screen or increase the height of the pieces to be printed, to make them more resistant. I finally reduced the height, because I already had enough robustness, to put up to a 22" monitor.

I have even put a 22" TV monitor and it holds, it all depends on the material used and the amount of padding.

You can modify the oval support base, if it is a large monitor that does not have enough with the oval base, but unless the base of the monitor is not at a 90º angle, it will hold everything.

It can even be used with 2 mobiles at the same time, one on each side and with different inclinations, but 2 brothers can put it in the center of the table and see each one a different thing on their own mobile.

Use your imagination!!!
