3D model description

One notable feature of Twitch in Earthspark is that her wings can be removed and held as swords, sorta. The Deluxe figure has them on a big balljoint, and they're just a bit too thick to fit into the gap in her hands. I considered the idea of making replacement blades that detach, but the wings are 3mm thick and have to fit into a small space for her alt mode, so there is just no room at all to design that.

The solution was to just make a pair of holdable blades, which also allowed me to resize them and look a bit more show-accurate. The measurements I took mean that the blades should be as long as her legs, though I made them just a bit shorter (going from thigh to ankle instead) to feel more sword sized. In the show there's no hilt, she is literally just gripping onto the blades, but a 5mm peg seemed fine. The only compromise is that they're a bit thick in order to account for the 5mm peg.

To clarify, this is not a replacement for the wings on her back. Just, if you want her holding swords, you'd have to remove the wings and set them aside, then put these in her hands. The balljoint wings are surprisingly easy to remove and reattach.

The part has been pre-positioned and may require support. If you're printing in translucent material, you may want to look into how to do that without there being visible infill inside.
