3D model description

This is a 100% 3D-printed wave machine that requires no glue or other materials: all parts fit together perfectly. Using a cam system, the waves move periodically up and down. The current design utilizes cams with a 30Β° difference, and I plan to add more with a 15Β° difference to increase the number of waves in motion.

You can choose to include a Benchy or not, and also between the version with a crank and the version without a crank (useful if you intend to place it in the middle of a desk where the crank cannot turn).

If you want to include a Benchy (to be printed at 100% of the normal size), replace the "waves" with:

If you want to have the version with the crank, replace the "Axel" files with files starting with "Crank," each to be printed once.

3D printing settings

All parts can be printed without PLA supports. Only the "shaft" requires special parameters to be more resistant, namely :

  • Filling: 25%.

  • Number of walls: 4

For other rooms:

  • Filling: 15% of capacity

  • Number of walls: 3
