3D model description

7 types of very simple coins that can be used in any board game.

There are 7 denominations: 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100. 1, 2, 5 and 10 are circular; 20, 50 and 100 are rectangular. The lower value - the smaller and the thinner coin. The same number is on both sides. The edges are sharpened, so grabbing the coin is very easy.

Coins are rather small, but numbers are well visible. Paths that create numbers are 1 mm wide, so you can use a plain permanent marker 1 mm thick and follow easily the path. This way numbers are clearly visible. 1 mm is thin enough to get nice bridges during the print.

I keep my coins in the universal container with 7 sections - it is available here. I use them for different board games, that have coins unpleasant for me in some way: ugly, too big, too small, denomination poorly visible etc., e.g. Ark Nova, Pret-a-Porter, Round House, Scythe. Still they are not sophisticated - just very simple coins, designed for comfort during the play.

Coins can be used as victory points as well.

3D printing settings

All coins were 3Dprinted on Prusa MK3:
- in PLA (F3D Gold pearl),
- No support is needed,
- Infill 15% rectilinear,
- Layer height = 0.2 mm.
Note1: I use slightly changed default Print settings "0.15mm SPEED MK3" in PrusaSlicer.
Note2: Coins can look better when: only 1 vertical perimeter is set and top + bottom fills are Monotonic. The difference is shown on the last photo. Still, default settings are satisfactory enough for me, because coins are small.
Note3: Printing time is short.

Size of coins (without sharpened edges):
Diameter of:
1 is 14 mm,
2 is 15 mm,
5 is 16 mm,
10 is 17 mm.
Dimensions of:
20 are 12 x 16 mm,
50 are 13 x 18 mm,
100 are 14 x 20 mm.
