3D printer file info

3D model description

Attached, you will find four files necessary for printing: one for the outer body, another for the inner body, a lovely snake head, and its tail, which also serves as a water pouring spout.

The outer body file showcases the main structure of the plant pot, providing stability and an attractive appearance. The inner body file is designed to hold the soil and plant, while also housing the self-watering mechanism.

The snake head attachment adds a touch of charm and whimsy to the design. It serves as a decorative element, giving the plant pot a unique personality. The tail, which doubles as a water pouring spout, allows for convenient and precise watering of the plant.

I'm excited about this new design and believe it will be a wonderful addition to any indoor or outdoor space.

In case you have leaks, you can use Rustoleum ultracover by applying it with a brush in several layers on the inside of the pot and and spaying a couple of thick layers on the exterior

Assembly Instructions

  1. Take the inner body of the self-watering pot, which will be the container for your plant, and make sure it has holes at the bottom. These holes will allow the absorbent cords to pass through and transport water to the plant's soil through capillary action.

  2. Cut several absorbent cords to a length that will reach from the holes in the inner body to approximately halfway up the container. These cords will be responsible for transporting water to the plant's soil.

  3. Insert the absorbent cords into the holes in the inner body of the pot. Ensure that the ends of the cords touch the water placed in the outer body of the pot while the rest of the cords remain inside the inner body, reaching about halfway into the soil.

  4. Now, place the plant inside the inner body of the pot. Ensure it is positioned and centered properly.

  5. Take the floating snake and place it in its designated space inside the inner body of the pot. The floating snake will serve as an indicator of the water level in the pot.

  6. Take the outer body of the pot, which will serve as the water reservoir. Fill the outer body with water until it reaches a suitable height to provide water supply to the plant.

  7. Place the inner body with the plant and the floating snake inside the outer body, making sure that the absorbent cords touch the water in the outer body and are partially submerged.

  8. Finally, place the lid on top of the outer body to prevent excessive water evaporation and maintain moisture in the pot.

Once you have completed these steps, the floating snake will rise and fall depending on the water level in the outer body, indicating when it needs to be refilled. This will ensure that your plant receives the necessary water through the absorbent cords. Remember to check and refill the water in the outer body when the floating snake is close to the lowest level to maintain a consistent water supply to your plant.
