3D model description

A photoscanned model of an Ammonite Fossil

Renders are shown as a texture reference only. To get a similar look I recommend using model paints along with a thick topcoat such as automotive clearcoat.

If using different paint chemistries for painting and clearcoat it is recommended to let the paints dry fully before applying further coats (usually 24h for acrylic and a week for enamels). Lacquer over acrylic may cause lifting so please test your paints first if planning to use a lacquer clearcoat.

You could also try something like a dip in clear resin to achieve a layering effect with your paint job. If you do this please test with a small copy first to ensure compatibility.
