3D model description

These were fitted to the rear hull sides of Panther tank variants to hold spare track links.

Some units, such as SS-PR 12, also fitted them to the turret to hold additional spare links.

Photo-etched examples tend to be too thin and the correct radius bend is hard to achieve while lining up the holes while plastic versions tend to be too thick and omit the holes.

Based on drawings from Panzer Tracts and drawn at full size but they successfully print at 1/35 (scale to 2.86%) and larger sizes (6.25% for 1/16, 4% for 1/25) should also work.

They fit the Dragon links supplied in the original kits (where the links are on runners) but the 'Smart kit' links need some filing as the links are slightly different.

3D printing settings

I printed these without changing the angle with small supports set automatically and had no failures. Obviously (I hope) this is intended for resin printing rather than FDM.
