A slayer is a dwarf who has given themselves to death, personification of doom and destruction to all the enemies of dwarven race. These are the mightiest warriors of the dwarven clans and kingdoms, and their word is to seek the honorable death in a deadliest battle they can find. These might warriors lead solitary lives, focusing themselves to become as deadly as possible, much like some human warrior monks do. They eschew armor, focusing on speed and mighty strikes with axes or hammers. Dwarves of both sexes can become slayers and their sign of recognition is a head shaven on the sides, with a stiffened crest of orange-red hair down the middle, which is also one of the reasons why slayers don’t wear helmets. Their hairs are their standards and banners and serve to announce them to both friends and foes alike.
