3D model description

NOTE: This is only for the 50lb Cobra with the aluminum limb.

The cheap under $20 Cobra pistol crossbow is plagued by one big fault that have most people tossing them in a closet to be forgotten about and that is poor limb tip design. They constantly slip the string which causes the tip to go flying and/or a skipped shot where the string pops over the top of the bolt resulting in basically what the limb would consider a dry fire. The material is also sub par as there are a lot of people online with cracked and broken tips from minimal use. I found a limb tip here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4441366 however it seemed like it still slipped, the fit wasn't the best for my cobra and it would bend when mounted so I redesigned it.

This new tip has a thicker base helping eliminate the string slipping issue that these 50lb cobras are plagued by. The internal hole is redesigned for a better fit and a better string sitting location preventing tip warp. It has survived several firings without an issue and is constantly under tension without a problem as I leave it strung.

Features:

  • Better internal hole pocket sizing for better tip fit with no bending.
  • Wider base to keep the sting from slipping.
  • A second shelf to allow for the use of a stringing string to make restringing an easier process.
  • Due to the slightly thicker tip size it is a little harder to string and has a bit more power to each shot.

Due to the nature of what this object is, it is a print and use at your own risk. By downloading and/or printing you agree to all liability and wave all rights to go after me for any problems that do arise. It's sad I have to put this statement in but that is the world we live in.

I hope this helps people have fun with their 50lb cobra more instead of tossing it in the closet of forgotten junk.

Enjoy.

Enjoy. Any suggestions please feel free to comment.

Printed in TPU. Not sure if this would hold up with anything else. It needs the flexibility TPU provides.
