Own the boat launches of your local lake with this pocket battleship!

This 144 scale Admiral Graf Spee is just over 4 feet long and an easy to carry 9 pounds. She is an easy to control large scale RC that is perfect for kids and adults alike and really turns heads every time she is on the water.

“5 feet away” detail means she was meant to be handled! No need to worry about thin railings or tiny aerials being broken from handling.

Updated a few files for better cosmetics.

2 versions of the secondary battery. One will still use brass tube barrels, the other will have the barrels attached.
Printed range finder arms instead of brass tube.
Added dual motor mount which is stiffer than the individual mounts but is not adjustable. Use only with 24t/11t 48p drive gears.

3D printing settings

ABS/ASA would be best due to the heat resistance and ability to chemically weld the pieces.

Print settings:
.24 layer, 5 walls, 15-20% infill for main hull sections
.2 layers, 2 walls, 25% infill for decking
.2 layers for super structure

Print recommendations:
Radar screen should be printed with 1 wall, 0 top, 0 bottom, and any % grid pattern infill.
Steam launch boats should be printed 'bow up' for best results.
Search lights can be printed with clear lens and illuminated by 3mm LED's.

Required hardware:

Stuffing tubes:
2x Ultra-Formable 260 Brass, Round Tube, 1 Foot Long, 0.014" Wall Thickness, 7/32" Od
McMaster-Carr PN: 8859K23

Bearings:
4x Oil-Embedded Bronze Sleeve Bearing For 1/8" Shaft Diameter And 3/16" Housing Id, 5/32" Long
McMaster-Carr PN: 6391K326

Prop shafts:
2x Multipurpose 304/304L Stainless Steel Rod, 1/8" Diameter, 1 Foot Long
McMaster-Carr PN: 89535K16

Stuffing tubes should be 250mm (10in) long (cut to length). Fill with grease to reduce wear.

M2 and M3 Heat Set inserts along with M2 and M3 stainless steel screws
1/2" wide (13mm x 2mm) 3M magnetic tape for attaching deck to hull.
(Amazon search: Magnetic Tape, 15 Feet Magnet Tape Roll (1/2'' Wide x 15 ft Long), with 3M Strong Adhesive Backing.)

Build recommendations:
Can be run with up to 24t/11t 48p gears or via direct drive.
2x 2826 sized outrunner brushless for drive.
Micro servo (such as ES08MAii) for rudder control.
2x Goldbat 5000mAh 3s LiPo batteries will provide hours of cruising.
Battery box will fit 1 or 2x batteries
Main turrets can rotate with standard 90 or 180* servo and horn (servo range extender required for most applications)
Main gun barrels can elevate with micro MG90 size servo
