This is an adapter to use a Black & Decker 20V MAX battery with the old blue Ryobi ONE+ 18V power tools. I don't know if it will work with other Ryobi tools. It's based on the battery receptacle I designed in my T12 soldering iron project.

The contacts for the 20V Max battery are made from brass sheet. The size is .032 or 1/32 inch or .8 MM. I used K&S brass from Hobby Lobby. I cut it with tin snips and a nibbler tool. You could also use a hacksaw or even a Dremel type tool. It is easy to cut yourself so be careful making this part. The hole is made with a 3MM drill. I have included a 3D printed template called contact to help in marking the part. You can fine tune the size with a file. The contacts for the Ryobi side are made from .032 X 1/4 inch brass strips. You can buy the strips pre-made and cut them to length and bent them into the proper shape. To connect the wires to the battery I used 1/4 inch female spade connectors.

I printed mine with Pla and 15% infill. The top, top_cap, and latch can be printed without supports. The receptacle is printed with supports but you have to use support blockers to keep the support material out of the screw holes. The video shows where the supports need to go and the print orientations. The shell is a cosmetic part that should be printed with supports.

The parts needed to assemble this are:
2 ea 18MM X 7MM springs from a Harbor Freight spring kit

.032 inch (.8 MM) brass sheet
.032 inch X 1/4 inch brass strips (K&S part # 5078)
12 ea 3MM X 12MM button head screws

I have included step files for the parts as well as the stl files.

Good luck.
